Singapore Airlines (SIA) is enhancing its in-flight entertainment (IFE) programming.
From 1 October, the carrier's Panasonic Avionics-build KrisWorld IFE system will feature 'live' concerts and stand-up comedy acts. These will be available in the "stage performances" category of KrisWorld.
Additionally, a new "classic comedies" channel will be added to the "comedy" category of the TV section.
KrisWorld, available in all classes and offering more than 1000 on-demand options, is fitted on SIA's Boeing 777-300ER, Airbus A380, Airbus A340-500 and Airbus A330-300 aircraft.
"Beyond movies, this unprecedented addition of 'live' concerts and stand-up comedies adds a new dimension in in-flight entertainment for our customers to enjoy," says SIA senior vice-president product and services Yap Kim Wah.
The carrier's KrisWorld IFE magazine will also take on a refreshed look come October with an improved layout and re-organised sections.
