China's Sichuan Airlines has signed a $300 million engines supply and support deal with International Aero Engines (IAE).
The carrier has chosen the V2500 SelectOne to power its fleet of 12 Airbus A320 aircraft on order, scheduled for delivery between 2011 and 2015.
It also signed a long-term aftermarket services agreement with IAE to support the engines, says IAE.
The agreement covers overhaul, engine health monitoring and on-wing coverage, it adds.
Sichuan's entire A320 family fleet of 61 aircraft in service and on order is powered by the V2500. The airline was the engine's launch customer in China in 1995.
The V2500 powers more than 250 aircraft in service in China.
