The president of PZL Mielec, Daniel Romanski, and a number of executives from the Polish company and Overtec, its Latin American dealer, have died in a PZL M28 Skytruck crash. The aircraft, operated by Venezuelan-based Overtec, crashed on take-off from Puerto Cabello at midday on 12 July, killing all 13 on board. Almost the entire management of Overtec were also killed after the aircraft climbed steeply after take-off before going into a spin and crashing on the runway. The aircraft was on a sales mission with the Venezuelan navy.
