Strike action threatened for tomorrow by staff of Italian carrier Meridiana has been put off for the time being. The decision by pilot and cabin-crew unions eases the pressure on Italian services, which still face an action by air traffic controllers and Alitalia pilots tomorrow.
The Meridiana staff are in dispute over the renewal of labour contracts. The airline awaits news on a possible new date for their action.
