Swiss International Air Lines and Finnair have signed a co-operation deal. The Finnish member of the Oneworld alliance already codeshares with Swiss - a prospective Oneworld partner. They plan to consult on harmonising networks, timetables and marketing activities. Meanwhile, Swiss reported lower than expected net losses of SFr980 million ($720 million) for 2002 on revenues of SFr4.3 billion. The carrier blames SFr322 million of the loss on one-off costs and exceptional items. Warning that losses will continue in 2003, Swiss has halved its Embraer 170/190 order, and deferred its last five Airbus A340 orders.
