Magnetic MRO is refurbishing and repainting the ATR 72 turboprop fleet of Finnair partner Nordic Regional Airlines.
The Estonian maintenance provider says it redelivered the first aircraft on 8 May under a contract covering "full interior refurbishment", base maintenance tasks, and application of Finnair's livery on 12 ATR 72s.
Nordic Regional Airlines, also known as Norra, operates its ATR fleet for Finnair on domestic routes and to international destinations in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Sweden.
Magnetic MRO says: "The aircraft's outdated exterior and interior design will be upgraded to a modern, sleek and simple one in order to achieve balance throughout the cabin, whilst meeting Finnair's high standards."
All of the aircraft are scheduled to have been processed by March 2020.
The Tallinn-based MRO provider highlights that the contract represents its first ATR base maintenance project. The company's co-operation with Finnair goes back more than 15 years, it notes.
Magnetic MRO – which specialises in Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 support – rebranded in 2014, having previously operated as Air Maintenance Estonia.
