Socata is to unveil its TB360 Tangara twin-engined light trainer at the Farnborough air show in September. A development of what was originally the Grumman Cougar, a programme which the French company acquired in mid-1995, the aircraft is re-engined with 135kW (180shp) Textron Lycoming piston engines to improve climb performance, and has a redesigned cockpit with AlliedSignal Bendix/King avionics.
