Saab Aircraft Leasing says it has seen the first signs that the decline in turboprop aircraft usage in Europe has levelled, with recovery on the way.

The more upbeat assessment follows an analysis of 19-50 seater regional aircraft scheduled daily departures in Europe, which increased by 2 per cent in the first quarter of the year, compared to a similar period last year.

This contrasts with a global fall of 7 per cent in turboprop usage during the same time, and an even steeper drop in the US., where the most regional jets have been delivered.
