Turkish Airlines is intending to lease 11 aircraft including a batch of eight Airbus A330-200s to support its medium- and long-haul operations.
The Istanbul-based carrier has confirmed the plan to the city's stock exchange.
Five A330s will be leased from AerCap for eight years. The remaining A330s will be sourced from Indian carrier Jet Airways for six years.
Turkish Airlines also says it is working with Jet Airways to wet-lease three Boeing 777-300ERs for four-year periods.
