Russia's United Aircraft is to set up a new $1 million in-house training facility at Zhukovsky near Moscow.

"The plan is to prepare workforces for our component enterprises and suppliers, both through fast-track training and full master's degree programmes," says the airframer, which foresees an annual requirement for thousands of specialists across a range of fields including avionics, chemistry, engineering and programming.

UAC intends to hire professors from Kazan, Moscow and Samara aviation institutes, as well as from abroad.
