The Royal Danish Navy received the first of eight Westland Super Lynx on 1 November. The manufacturer was awarded the £17 million ($24 million) contract in 1997. New fuselages have been manufactured. These are equipped with the existing fleet's engines, flying controls, hydraulics, avionics and electrical systems. New main rotor and tail blades are fitted as is a new fuel system.
