A top team from the Virginia Peninsula on the US east coast is here to woo aerospace business for this emerging high-technology centre (Hall 3, C28).

Leading the delegation is Richard D Weigel, CEO of the Peninsula Alliance for Economic Development.

He is supported by representatives of local governments, NASA and Newport News-Williamsburg international airport.

The region's assets include NASA Langley, where the first US astronauts were trained; eight colleges and universities; and the nation's second highest concentration of scientists and engineers. Next year it will host the Aviation World's Fair.
