Piper Aircraft as part of its "Ready, Set, Fly" programme is now offering a three-week "highly concentrated" private pilot license (PPL) course at its Vero Beach municipal airport headquarters for buyers of its Archer LX single-engine four-seater.
The course, taught by a professional instructor dedicated to the programme, is customized for Archer LX owners and takes them from zero time to private pilot license "safely and efficiently," says Piper.
The $309,900 aircraft, powered by a Lycoming 180hp (134kW) 0-360-A4M engine and equipped with a Garmin G500 avionics suite, has a range of 522nm (822km) and can operate at 128kt (237km/h).
The Ready, Set, Fly program was created to address critics who maintain that quality of instruction at certain facilities, scheduling problems and poor flying equipment hinder successful training, says the manufacturer.
Customers also have the option to train at another location with a training provider of their choice, says the airframer.
