GE Engine Services (GEES) has appointed Standard Aero as an authorised CF34TM Service Provider for the General Electric CF34-3 and CF34-8 engines. The agreement provides Standard Aero with GEES full technical support. Meanwhile, GEES has been awarded a $22 million, 10-year agreement from US start-up carrier USA 3000 Airlines to perform engine maintenance on the airline's fleet of five leased CFM56-5B4P-powered Airbus A320s, including repair and overhaul. BAE Systems is opening a new civil aircraft modification, maintenance and repair facility at Southern California Logistics Airport (SCLA) near Victorville, California. Two large hangars and associated office space have been taken on long-term lease at the former George AFB.
