KLM UK Engineering has signed a five year deal with TNT Airways to provide scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on the Belgian company's 17 strong fleet of BAe146-200/300 freighters. Much of the work will be undertaken at the company's new maintenance centre at Norwich airport in the UK. GAMCO has completed the seventh and final C-check on a Lockheed L-1011 TriStar for Canadian carrier Air Transat at its Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, facilities. The company has also repaired a China Airlines 747-200F which suffered flap damage at Abu Dhabi. Pratt & Whitney Aftermarket Services has secured a three-year $33 million deal with Pegasus Aviation to provide engine maintenance for the leasing company's JT8D-powered aircraft. The Columbus Engine Center in Georgia will perform the work. American Airlines and Rolls-Royce have signed a $1 billion maintenance support agreement for RB211-535E4 engines on the airline's Boeing 757 fleet. The 10 year deal will be undertaken at Texas Aero Engine Services, a joint venture of the two companies. Unison Industries has signed a three-year deal with GE Engine Services, worth $1.7 million a year, to overhaul its ignition system components on CFM International, GE, International Aero Engines, P&W and R-R engines.
