Slovenian flagcarrier Adria Airways is to replace its Airbus A320s with the smaller, 140-seat A319 over the next few years. Adria has previously viewed the A320 as too large for its operation, and once considered the A319 as an alternative -although it subsequently introduced Bombardier CRJs to use on thinner routes. But under a new fleet-renewal plan the carrier has opted to replace the A320s by 2013. The carrier notes that there will be no need to retrain crews.
