Bangladeshi private airline GMG has appointed airline strategy and turnaround expert Sanjiv Kapoor as its new CEO.
Before this, Kapoor was part of the international management consulting firm, Bain and Company, leading its airline practice in Europe, said a statement by GMG.
Kapoor has also spent time at Temasek Holdings (Singapore) as director, investment & portfolio management, and with Northwest Airlines in the US as director, strategy, finance & operations.
Kapoor has over 15 years of experience with airlines in Asia, Europe, North America and Latin America, said GMG.
His expertise covers airline strategy, performance improvement, business model development, network design, pricing, revenue management, product development, procurement and end-to-end customer experience, it added.
