Boeing executive vice-president and chief financial officer James Bell will retire from the company on 1 April 2012.
Boeing corporate controller and finance vice-president Greg Smith will succeed Bell on 1 February.
The company has promoted its vice-president of investor relations and financial planning and analysis, Diana Sands, to the role of corporate controller and finance vice-president, succeeding Smith.
Bell has been in the role since 2003 and served as the company's chief executive on an interim basis in 2005. In addition, he has served as Boeing's corporate controller.
