SYDNEY AIRPORT The Australian airport was forced to issue an apology to passengers after scores were left inconvenienced by a security breakdown. A loss of power on a walk-through screening unit at Terminal 2 led to 16 passengers passing to airside without undergoing screening. As a result, airport authorities decided to clear the area and re-screen all passengers. The airport operator is investigating in order to prevent a recurrence.
