CATHAY PACIFIC The Hong Kong-based carrier forecast a record full-year profit of at least HK$12.5 billion ($1.61 billion), two years after it posted a record loss, citing strong passenger and cargo demand and contributions from its stake in Air China. Chief executive Tony Tyler says: "We are of course delighted to be so handsomely in the black, but the dramatic turnaround in our fortunes serves to illustrate yet again the volatile and cyclical nature of our business."
