DUBAI: Emirates selects Rockwell Collins avionics for 62 aircraft

Emirates Airlines has selected a package of Rockwell Collins avionics for 32 new Airbus A380 and 30 new Boeing 777 aircraft.

The deal includes Rockwell Collins' MultiScan threat detection system and the GLU-925 multi-mode receiver, the industry's first MMR certified for precision landing using either global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) or instrument landing systems. The agreement was marked at a signing ceremony at the show. The aircraft deliveries are due to continue through to 2015.
