RUAG is teaming up with fellow Swiss company ExecuJet Aviation Group to run its refurbished FBO in Geneva. The two players announced their collaboration at the show this afternoon.

The 280m2 (3,010ft2) FBO, on the north side of the airport, is one of the oldest in Switzerland, dating from 1958 and handles 6,000 movements a year, with capacity for 80 movements a day. RUAG has run the facility since 2008. "The opportunity to team up with ExecuJet - a well established player in the FBO world - makes a lot of sense for us," says RUAG vice-president business aviation Michael Sattler.

ExecuJet has had a Zurich FBO for 11 years - one of 10 around Europe - but this is its first representation in Geneva.

ExecuJet Europe managing director Cedric Migeon says there is "a lot of synergy" between the two businesses. "It has long been our plan to expand our FBO presence in Western Europe and this is a terrific opportunity for both companies," he adds.
