Russia's Ilyushin Finance is marketing a business jet variant of the Antonov An-148 regional aircraft, designated the Antonov Business Jet.
The aircraft, which will be produced by Voronezh-based VASO, will be offered in two variants, the 19-seat Elite and 38-seat Corporate Shuttle.
Ilyushin, which already markets the An-148 regional jet, is in talks with St Petersburg-based state airline GTK Rossiya for three aircraft. Its aim is to begin manufacturing in 2009 and to deliver the first ABJ in early 2010, says Ilyushin's An-148 programme director Alexander Sas. VASO will also take delivery of one aircraft for its own use.
Ilyushin forecasts a demand for five to 10 aircraft a year in the European and CIS markets.
