Jet Airways is to start a daily nonstop service between New Delhi and Milan from 5 December.
This is its first service into Italy, and the Indian carrier plans to operate an Airbus A330-200 on the route. There are no other airlines operating on the New Delhi-Milan route, according to schedules in Innovata.
The nonstop service will allow enhanced connectivity from Milan to a number of Italian cities, and other parts of Europe, through its interline arrangements with other airlines, says Jet Airways.
"Milan, as indeed the European Union is an important market for us and we are convinced of capturing and growing the market," says Nikos Kardassis, CEO of Jet Airways.
