Future MEBA shows may be held annually and in cities other than Dubai - but only if a venue as good as the new Dubai World Central expo is available.
Addressing members of the Middle East Business Aviation Association at the show yesterday, chairman Ali Ahmed Al Naqbi said he was open to shifting the biennial event to other parts of the region, and holding it every year.
"If you give me the venue, I will move it. I will even go annual," he said. However, he said, so far no appropriate site had been found.
MEBAA will launch a one-off "mini MEBA" regional version of the show in Morocco next year, and is also holding discussions with authorities in Saudi Arabia and Beirut about hosting similar events.
In 2014, MEBA will be held in the new expo centre due to open next year next to Al Maktoum International airport.
