All the major airframers and dozens of major systems manufacturers and service providers have thrown their weight behind the relaunched Asian Business Aviation Conference and Exhibition in Shanghai next March, says NBAA president Ed Bolen.

Bolen yesterday gave an update on the event, which was formally launched at EBACE in May and will be held at the Hawker Pacific facility at Shanghai's airport March 27-29.

The association has made several attempts to launch a viable business aviation show in Asia - the first event was in 2005 - but the recent rapid expansion of business jets, particularly in China, means interest in corporate aviation has never been higher. Bolen predicts 6,000 attendees at Shanghai.
