Essex Industries has started deliveries of its retrofit collective lever control grips for the US Coastguard's (USCG) fleet of Eurocopter HH-65 Dolphin search and rescue helicopters.
The USCG operates a fleet of approximately 100 HH-65s, supported by the USCG Aviation Logistics Center at Elizabeth City, North Carolina.
Qualification testing was completed in December 2012 and USCG flight testing of the Essex grips was completed in January 2013. The USCG has released additional requirements for the Essex product to retrofit its entire fleet.
