Cessna Aircraft has increased the range of its yet-to-be launched Citation Latitude mid-sized business jet by 15%.

Specifications of the Citation Latitude had been revised to increase its maximum range from 2,000nm (3,700km) to 2,300nm, said Trevor Esling, vice-president of sales for EMAA (Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia).

The aircraft, which is scheduled for its first flight in mid-2014 and is designed for a crew of two plus up to eight passengers, will have a maximum altitude of 45,000ft (13,716m) and a maximum cruise speed of 442kt (819km/h).

The aircraft is scheduled to enter service in 2015.
