Australia's International Air Services Commission (IASC) has approved Strategic Airlines' application for the allocation of unlimited passenger and cargo capacity on routes to the USA.
Strategic plans to begin services between Australia and the USA from September 2011. It is required to utilise the capacity from no later than 31 August 2012, or from such other date approved by the commission.
The determination is for ten years from the date of the determination.
Strategic Airlines is not permitted to utilise the capacity to provide services jointly with another Australian carrier or any other person without the approval of the commission.
