The first of two new Boeing 737-800s for Turkmenistan Airlines is undergoing flight testing by the US manufacturer in Seattle.

The aircraft is due for delivery to the carrier shortly and will join an all-Boeing fleet that, according to Flight's ACAS database, comprises six 717s, two 737-300s and four 757-200s. In addition, the airline has parked one 717 and one 767-300ER.

The Ashgabat-based national carrier flies to destinations in the CIS, Asia and Europe.
